From 2010 to 2014 in Coimbatore, India, I worked part-time after office hours as a private tutor, teaching Hindi to Grade 10 and 12 CBSE students. I also taught Hindi, English, Maths, and Social Science to Grade 5, 6, and 8 students from both State and CBSE boards at a private institute.
I begin by asking students to introduce themselves, their grade, school, and curriculum (CBSE, ICSE, Matriculation, or State Board). I also identify their preferred language of communication—English or Tamil—to ensure they understand lessons comfortably. This helps me create a personalized and effective learning environment for each student.
