I have taught in a structured government educational system with strict and traditional guidelines, yet I always aimed to make learning engaging and enjoyable for students. As the Head Teacher of the elementary section, I taught History, Science, and Islamic Studies. Despite the system’s limited focus on struggling learners, I made it a priority to motivate and support them. By emphasizing participation and classroom activities as part of their final grades, I encouraged even less confident students to work harder and become more involved in learning.
My approach begins with understanding each student individually. In a class of 25 students, I make it a point to learn about every student’s unique challenges and learning needs. I guide students in a way that fosters confidence and prevents any sense of embarrassment or discouragement. I also maintain open communication and encourage feedback from my students, as I believe that a supportive and respectful environment helps every learner reach their full potential.
